50+ Welcome to the world Baby Shower Personalized Theme Decoration Ideas & Gifts

Really attracted to the bold, modern design of these invites. Who doesn't love fruit salad, plus it's already in a cup so it's easy to grab. For non-desserts, some great options that are easy to eat are foods like sushi, empanadas, miniature quesadillas, quiche, and meat-filled phyllo pastries. Wasabi nuts, warm bakery bread slices, and pierogis are good finger fares to grab and go.

Greece: 10 Day Itinerary Ideas

I started with a Pinterest board, which was fabulous for inspiration. I loved bringing it back for her baby's shower. Reena Ravi Design created the perfect Around the World Baby Shower with incredible styling! Pink was the main color used, since the parents-to-be knew that they were having a baby girl.

The perfect topper was used on the amazing cake by Morfeys Cakes, which made people chuckle! The light-hearted “Baby Bump or Beer Belly” game appealed to both the males and the females at the Taste Around the World Baby Shower, as well. My sisters were kind enough to throw me a shower with a theme that just fit us perfectly- “Welcome to the World! ” complete with design and branding done by my very talented little sister. The parents-to-be wanted to celebrate their little girl’s upcoming arrival by celebrating her heritage and things that reflect their interests as a family.

Welcome To The World! Baby Shower Ideas!

The vegan menu was catered locally, and a friend did calligraphy for the beautiful map-themed tent cards. The grandmother-to-be made all the cupcakes, which were also vegan, and we set them up on different platters and cake stands. Our flowers were from Whole Foods, and the daffodils were picked from our yard just one day before a spring snowstorm killed them all. This theme rocks because, for one, it has maps. But secondly because it reminds me of a story from sister when she was pregnant.

Designer with a handyman background, renovating our Victorian home in historic Oak Park, IL . Mom of three, fan of pink, keeping busy all around. It’s a great theme, and would be wonderful for a nursery theme too. Cute for the shower, then a gift to take home for the nursery. It’s refreshing to see something different and not overly “baby”.

Other great decoration additions are license plates from all over the world posted up on the wall, different country flags, and even flooring décor that mimics roads. Of course, if your baby shower is a gender reveal shower, be sure to incorporate more oranges and blues for a boy and more pinks and violets for a girl. This globe and “oh the places you’ll go” print were on the gift table. I now have this print framed and on display in my son’s nursery actually! My sister hand-lettered this sign too, and the little globe was painted by me (as taught by the “globe painting course” by Lexington artist Kayla Weber!).

This is a fun one – not just welcoming a baby into a family, but into the entire world. And I love the decoupage letters with the vintage maps – that would be great for a permanent design element in a baby’s room. They’re one of my favorite local shops, and they let me borrow the amazing vintage globes you see throughout the photos for the shoot.

You can find more images from the Welcome to the World Baby Shower on Pinterest. The Comic Book Baby Shower can be seen here, and I’ll be sharing photos from the last of my three themes soon. Please take a moment to admire the decoupage here, because that was Brandon’s contribution. I was scrambling to get everything done, and he helped out with covering BABY kraft letters with vintage map wrapping paper and Mod Podge.

Even your plain, plastic cups will be able to look adventurous with these decorative straws. The straws are red and white striped and are decorated with a small gold airplane made from card stock. The straws are sold in sets of ten and measure approximately eight inches tall. Bright blue and yellow streamers give the venue a splash of bright colors and tablecloths with old atlas images give an ultimate travel feel.

Mom grew up in the Middle East with Indian and Filipino parents, while Dad grew up in Kentucky with Taiwanese parents. And they’ve been traveling, eating and laughing through life together ever since they met. Guests took home favor bags at the end of the shower, which included organic dark chocolates from Whole Foods and foil-wrapped globes. Ok, so I thought yesterday’s was awesome, but today’s? Man, if I EVER have a baby, this will be what I want for my shower.

I liked the invitations that I designed for this one a lot. They were based on the look of a topological map. We also did a quick game of “Guess Who” where you have to predict how the parents answered, in favor of Mom versus Dad. I used so many of our own things, and borrowed from friends , that there wouldn’t be much left to giveaway. And of course Portia and I brought all of the food back home to our families! I did give the newborn diapers to my assistant, who was expecting at the time.

World trivia, crosswords, and world puzzles are all enjoyable games that will have your guests laughing and having the best time. Décor for Travel themed baby shower is so fun to put together. You almost feel like a true jetsetting adventurer as you set up old leather suitcases with travel stamps and safari hats throughout your venue. If you love traveling and you cannot wait for your new baby to join you on all of your adventures, an around the world themed baby shower is the perfect way to celebrate a new baby girl or boy! This theme can be used in a variety of different colors which makes it a great theme for a baby girl or boy. For desserts, worldly additions like baklava, fruit tarts, tiramisu, kalacs, sweet croissants, and chocolate pastries.

We have already been to some of the places, Hawaii, Paris, New York, and Ireland in his 2 1/2 years . This is my most cherished piece of “art”, I feel the love of our friends and family whenever I see it. How adorable would this sign look at your baby shower? This welcome sign would look great in a hallway or on a front door to welcome guests to the party. The sign reads “Welcome Aboard Airways” and inclues the name of the baby being celebrated in bright red. Of course, it can be customized to match the colors of your baby shower.
